WoW! I haven't blogged in awhile, and in my defense it hasn't totally been my fault. My computer cord broke about 3 weeks ago when Caleb tripped over it and broke it. Robb did attempt to tape it together but then I had about 10 minutes of battery to work with which wasn't very user friendly. I went out and bought a new cord finally only to have Robb tell my that I spent about 3 times the amount on the cord that I should have, and that I should have just ordered it online. Well, if you know me at all you know that I am not technically savvy. I had bought the cord at Best Buy because I just carried the laptop in, showed it to the college guy at the counter and said "I need a new cord". He handed me what I needed and I bought it. Things aren't as simple when you order it online. I looked but I had now idea which of the thousands of cords I actually needed. So, finally I convinced Robb that I needed his help and now 3 weeks later I have a cord. He wasn't speedy about it but I now have the right cord for $40 cheaper than I managed to buy it.
A couple weeks ago Robb's mom and his aunt Karen came to Lincoln. We chanced it and took all 3 kids to the fabric store to purchase material for Robb's mom to make Abby's Easter dress. I love that she makes some of the kids clothes for special occasions. It almost makes me wish I could sew, sometimes. We bought some really cute flowered pastel material and we made it out of the store without any big disasters. We went to Grisanti's afterward for supper and the kids were very well behaved for sitting in a restaurant for that long. Abby was a little bit of a mess but she is gradually getting easier and easier to take out to eat.
Last weekend I went to a Scrapbooking weekend in Beatrice. It was so fun! I went with our neighbor Cindy (who Robb now calls a bad influence for getting me started on scrapbooking evenings and weekends). It was a great time. I got a lot done and got a lot of great ideas. I have the boys scrapbook done from birth to 1 and I need to get 1-2 done yet but someone had made the comment awhile back that since I only did one album who would get it someday. That got me thinking that I probably need to do 2 books. So at the scrapbooking weekend I started working on their separate books starting with preschool last year. I got almost 60 pages done so I was happy. I still have a lot of catching up to do with the boys but I have managed to keep Abby pretty much kept up to date so I only have a couple more pages to do for her to catch her up. Lucky for me Robb was okay having a weekend with the kids. They went to Norfolk Friday night and Saturday to see Grandma, Grandpa and uncle Andy. They had a great time and I came back rested and ready to start another week with the kids.
