Andy is Graduating

It is hard to believe that Andy is old enough to be graduating already! He is the one person that makes me feel really old. I felt a little nostalgic while I was going through Andy's pictures through the years. I have known him since he was 2 when Robb and I started dating. So much as happened since then and I have watched him grow up before my eyes! He has turned into a great guy who is never to cool to play with our kids,  hangout with his brother or go to a bad teen movie with me. Congratulations Andy! We are excited to have you in Lincoln next year.

The boys were really excited to give Andy his gift. We got him a wakeboard. Robb is hoping Andy wants to go out wakeboarding with him when he is in Lincoln for college.

Love these kids!

The kids all had a blast at Andy's graduation party! The ice cream machine was everyone's favorite.

15 months old

Time has flown by and Emerson is 15 months old now. She is a sweet, spunky and stubborn little girl. I have no idea where she got her stubborn nature from. Haha. She is ornery as can be and is really getting curious about everything around her. She likes to try to fish in the toilet, eat dog food and unrolls the toilet paper as fast as she can when no one is watching. I'm not sure if she is a bit more mischievous than Abby was or if with the five year gap I forgot how much they get into at this age. She is proficient at walking and has graduated to almost running and when she is on a mission she walks really fast with her head down and her arms swinging. It looks like she is going to head butt someone. She loves to climb and can now get on the couch and kitchen chairs.
This is another one of her hobbies. She just waits for the dishwasher to open so she can stand it. She still loves dogs especially Carl and Lola at daycare. She loves Penny to, but Penny has no interest in her and growls at her so often that if you ask Emmy what a puppy says she replies with "ARRRRR". Her favorite toys are her singing puppy that she likes to dance to and her kitchen set. She absolutely loves to be outside and one of her favorite things is taking a ride in her stroller.

She eats anything we eat and has followed in Abby and my footsteps and seems to have a sweet tooth. She typically eat pretty well but there are days when she throws all of her food to the dog. Her favorite foods are bananas, mac n cheese, goldfish crackers, green beans. She is starting to use her spoon occasionally and is doing pretty well with it. She yells done when she is done eating and yells MOM when she needs more. She can get up into her highchair by herself now so sometimes she will be sitting there yelling eaaaa for eat. She is doing great drinking 2% milk from a sippy cup at daycare and we are still working on it at home. She is still nursing and as much as I know we need to be close to done it is hard for me to be done since she is our last. She still nurses in the morning, before afternoon nap and before bedtime.

Sleeping wise we are still doing terrible! We have had to put our foot down and start making her sleep in the pack n play in our room. She cries and cries before she goes to sleep most nights so we can't put her in with Abby. She will still get up in the middle of the night around 2-3 and want to nurse. I just put her in bed with us to feed her and she sleeps there the rest of the night. She still takes a morning nap and an afternoon nap. Evidently she sleeps great at daycare but for us if we want her to nap we almost have to hold her during her nap. Yeah she has us wrapped around her little finger!

Look at this crazy hair! We do a lot of little pigtails but then when she pulls them out we have a little wild haired child on our hands. She weighs 22 lbs. She has 2 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth. She wears 18 month clothes and size 5 shoes. She is growing like a weed.

Eating spagetti

She likes to do chalk on the driveway. She can say Mom, Dad, Bryce, Penny, Puppy, Carl, Lola, Eat, Baf (bath), ball, Beau (her favorite little boys at daycare)and done. She knows what a cow and puppy say. She can find her toes, tummy and tongue.

You make everyday interesting Emerson Paige. We love you!

Soccer

Soccer...what do I say about soccer this year? Abby thought she wanted to play soccer again this year which surprised us since she didn't really seem to enjoy it at all last year. We were glad that she showed interest and Robb agreed to coach again if one of the dads would co coach. We talked to one of the dads from the year before and he agreed to co coach. We also made the decision to play in the spirit league so that the girls could have a practice during the week and so that we would play at the fields that were close to our house as opposed to the ones that were clear across town. Once Robb started reviewing the rules for the spirit league we knew we were way out our league! The girls had to play on the big fields, they now had a goalie and the coach couldn't be on the field. Yikes these girls were not ready for any of that!
Robb did his best to coach the Owls, that is what they decided their team name would be, however I think they were a bit beyond help. It was a fun group of girls but only one out of 12 was aggressive on the field at all. The other girls were more into socializing at practice and games and less into running really hard or caring if they won. Which I guess was good because we scored our first and only goal the very last game. It was painful to watch the games because I felt bad for the girls but they never seemed to care. They always had big plans to hang our with each other after the game.
They gave it a good try but I'm not sure that any of these girls had the competitive drive to play in the spirit league. We really should have stuck with micro soccer. Robb was a good sport about coaching but he doesn't plan to coach the Owls next year.

I feel bad that I don't have a better picture but Abby was late on picture day because she couldn't get her hair up how she wanted it and then we missed the last game due to Andy's graduation party.
