Happy Birthday Abby

I know I say the same thing every year but I can't believe she is 8 already!
Abby is our sweet, caring, lovable, sassy, loud, crafty, patient child! She wants to be a babysitter someday and she will be a great babysitter. She manages to have patience for Emerson when everyone else in the family is out. She plays with someone 5 years younger than her on a daily basis and enjoys it. She doesn't have much tolerance for her brothers and knows how to push their buttons and get them in trouble. She also has a scream that could mean "you looked at me wrong or I just had a limb amputated". She is adapting well to her new school this year and has made a lot of new Norris friends. She continues to do Girl Scouts, volleyball and loves to do art and crafts. She is our only child that will sleep in and if given the chance she would stay in her PJ's all day!
Love Ya Abs!

Abby invited friends over from Norris and from Roper

Abby had her birthday party at Art Planet where they worked on making clay hearts. They had a great time!

We then came back to our house for a dance party, pizza and cake.

Abby's Birthday Sleepover

Abby has been planning her birthday since the day after Christmas. This year she had many parts to her birthday plans. Although fun, it was exhausting! She started out the weekend with her BFF Addison coming to a movie with us on Friday night and staying over. Addison's brother had out of town hockey so the only way she could make it to the party was to stay with us. She is easy to have over so it worked great.
On Saturday, we played during the day and went to Bryce and Caleb's double header basketball games. After the games we picked up Randi another friend from Roper to stay the night for the Birthday Sleepover.
Robb had to be out of town the week before so Grandma and Grandpa came on Saturday to help me get ready and to be back up in case Robb didn't make it home in time. It worked out great because Robb make it home in time but he boys went with Grandma and Grandpa so they weren't there to terrorize the girls.

Everyone loves Lucy!

New Troll PJ's! These are the new cute trolls not to be confused with the semi ugly trolls of the 80's.

Movie with Addison
We went to see Sing
Not anyone's favorite movie but Emmy did pick her favorite line that we would go onto hear for months after. "OH MY GOSH! LOOK AT HER BUTT!"
Her favorite time to say it is when it is highly inappropriate.

We had to paint nails of course.

It was freezing out but all the girls wanted to take Lucy on a walk with Robb. I'm sure he was wishing that he didn't have to go!

Pancake breakfast in the morning and getting ready for the next party.

Lutz Winter Fun

Now that we live outside city limits all bets are off as to what Robb and the boys will do.
We never really had any more snow than this so we had to improvise on sledding.
So in case you wondered... Yes you can make sledding even more dangerous than just going down a hill on a piece of plastic.

Meanwhile....in the house where it is warm the girls are playing Frozen dress up.

Remember what I said about all bets are off now that we live out of town? Well apparently it is appropriate to just throw your Christmas tree out the front door and light it on fire.
Really Robb! He knew I never would have agreed to this. He quietly told the boys to meet him outside and when I followed to see what they were doing this is what I saw. I will admit it is very frightening to see how fast a tree goes up in flames. I guess that's why you shut the lights off when you aren't at home.

Happy New Year

What a year!
So much to be thankful for!

We celebrated with a dance party and some crazy kid food and maybe a little wine.

Put your hands in the air!

Welcome 2017
We are curious, afraid and excited to see what you have in store for us.

Sure why not have whipped cream out of the can... it is New Years!
