Bunny Love

Nibbles has quickly become part of our family. The girls love this little guy! They clean his cage, feed him and take him out of his cage to play daily. He also might be found riding bikes with Emmy, playing on the playground or in Abby's room hopping around.

Carrie Underwood Concert

Last year, when they announced that Carrie Underwood was coming to Pinnacle Bank, I knew that this would be a fun concert to take Abby too. She has fun country music that often crosses over to be almost pop. She isn't vulgar and her music has a good message and doesn't include profanity. We also invited Grandma because we thought she would enjoy this concert too. Addison and Andrea were going too. We had seats in a different sections but still went out to eat with them before hand and drove there together.
These girls are the cutest!

The suspense of waiting for it to start was killing Abby!

The show was incredible! Her songs were great, the lights, outfits and stage setup were so cool! Abby thought it was really neat. This was a great first concert!

Horse Camp

Horse Camp is Abby's favorite week of the summer! She loves everything about horse camp. They spend time in the barn from 9am to 3pm when it is hot, humid and buggy and she begs to go back every year. It is fun seeing her learn more each year. They now get to ride by themselves and no one is having to lead the horse. I was bummed because I didn't get to go to her horse show on Friday this year but Robb went and got some cute picture of her and Addison.

Omaha Zoo Trip

The kids and I went to the Omaha Zoo. We packed a lunch and planned to stay for the day. It was super hot out so we also were going to hit up the Splash Park area. This was the first time we didn't bring a stroller for Emmy. We had a great day but next time we need a stroller or a wagon! I carried the lunch cooler and when Emmy would get exhausted Bryce and Caleb would take turns carrying her. If you have ever been to the Omaha Zoo you know how hilly it can be. Poor girl just couldn't keep up. We were hot, sweaty and exhausted by the time we left but it was a fun day!

Fred Hoiberg Camp

Bryce attended the Fred Hoiberg Basketball camp for his birthday gift this year. He had a great time. They divided kids up by skill level, Bryce got to play with the kids going into high school so he had some good competition. Evan Taylor and Glenn Watson (both former Husker players) helped with the camp. Bryce got a lot of help with his shooting which he loved. Fred Hoiberg, the Nebraska coach, gave a talk everyday at the camp. Bryce got a signed shoe from Evan Taylor to add to his shoe wall and a signed photo from Fred Hoiberg for getting NBA Coaches award.

Learning Moment

Abby had a tea party for 4-H. Each girl was suppose to bring a snack to share. This gets a little complicated with this group of girls. Abby can't have gluten. Claire can't have dairy, eggs, nuts or strawberries. So between the both of them there aren't many things that they can have. I decided to order vegan, nut free, gluten free cupcakes from the specialty bakery. I thought it would be fun to have something that all of them could have. A dozen cupcakes are usually $12 at Walmart so I figured it would be double that and I didn't even ask the price. When I picked up our "everything free" cupcakes I was in shock when my total was $55. I was trying to pick my jaw off of the floor so I could pay for them. Then I sat in the car for a long time trying to figure out how I was going to explain this to Robb. Luckily, we all laughed and decided it was a learning moment. This is Abby posing with her $4.50 cupcake. They tasted pretty good at least.

Fishing with Grandpa

Caleb has really started to love fishing! He watches YouTube videos on what lure to use and spend endless hours restringing his poles and organizing his tacklebox. Grandpa Steve took him fishing at Grove Lake and they caught a couple decent sized bass. Caleb loved every minute of it!

Happy 13th Birthday Bryce and Caleb

It is crazy that we officially have teenagers! When did that happen?
Bryce you have grown up to be a very driven kid! When you put your mind to something whether it is basketball or a project and you don't let anything stop you from getting it done. You are a sports maniac and seem to know endless amounts about your favorite players and teams. You still aren't too old to give your mom a hug in public or to give your little sister a piggyback ride. You can be moody and you need your sleep. You love to eat and often eat first breakfast and second breakfast and first and second supper. You are notorious for your peanut butter sandwiches that have 6 inches of peanut butter.
Caleb you are going surpass me in height any day now. You are a fun loving and goofy kid. You like to be a little loud and little wild most of the time and we constantly tell you to take it down a notch but this is what makes you fun. You love fishing and have became quite the angler this last year. When something is important to you, you are all in. You learn about it, research it and want to do it all the time. You are very persistent. You are fun loving and a great friend. You also love to eat. Maybe this is just a 13 year old boy thing. You go for the chocolate like your mom. You are a sucker for sweets. Happy Birthday Boys!

We had a family party at the lakehouse. We all had a great time and the weather was great. It was a good day to play on the lake.

They surpassed Grammy last year but it's still fun to have this picture every year.

These 3 still look like they could be triplets.

Meeting Baby Cooper

I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift than to get a birthday buddy! Cooper Hopkins was born June 5. We waited about a week and then we had to go see him. He is adorable! All of us were instantly in love with this new little guy. Harper seems like she is a great big sister. All the kids fought over who got to hold him next.
