For the last couple years Grandma Hansen has planted pumpkins in her garden for the grandkids. The kids love picking out their pumpkins and take it very seriously. We said they had to be able to get their pumpkin to the car, so they teamed up so they were able to get bigger pumpkins. It was pretty cute watching this unfold. The boys had each more or less picked their pumpkin the second we got to her house. They eyed the crop and picked the two biggest ones.
Caleb was pretty proud of his pick.
Bryce was very determined to get this all the way to the car.
Abby was more interested in all the little and unique gourds. She spent most of her time trying to find "cute" gourds because she knows I like to put them in the house for decorations. Grandma was more than willing to help all the kids find as many little gourds as they could.
Abby found Emerson a pumpkin that was just her size.
Abby found a blossom that she thought was pretty cool.
Emerson has started to really notice puppies. She LOVES them. She liked watching the big dogs while we were picking so we bent down to pet them but the dogs got a little excited and Emerson got a lot of puppy kisses.
Group picture of what we picked. Thank you Grandma for the pumpkins.
After all the work to pick pumpkins the kids had to have a cookie and lemonade break. Everytime we leave grandma's house someone has a stomachache because they eat cookies and drink lemonade until they are sick to their stomach.
We put all the little gourds that we picked on this tray as a decoration. Emerson though this was the greatest toy ever! She would play with all the gourds, roll them, taste them and throw them.
