Emerson is a girl that knows what she wants! She has been planning this years birthday party for months. No matter what I said she was convinced that an early February pool party was a great idea. I just wasn't thrilled with having to wear a swimming suit at that point in the winter. She invited friends from daycare, some of the basketball sisters and kids of adults that we are friends with. She was so excited about this party. The other demand that she had was that it was a cat party. We will never be able to have cat because of Caleb's allergy and that makes her feel like she is being cheated out of a cat. She thinks she loves cats! Not sure how she would know and she might change her mind if we actually owned one.
When we got to the YMCA there was a small snafoo with the scheduling. They had scheduled us at a different Y when I had booked it in person paid at this one. They quickly had to find more life guards to staff an extra 15 little kids. They got it done but I was less than thrilled!
We had an adorable cat cake and we had an adopt a pet station cat plates and a cat banner. She loved every minute of it.
We had a great time. Thankfully a February pool party sounded appealing to other kids who convinced their parents to also come and swim with us.
