Last week we had 2 nice days and then we were back to cold, windy, rainy days that have been the norm around here all spring. The kids and I were excited to finally be able to get out of the house and play. Winter seems to get longer and longer every year. I sometimes wonder why in the world we stay living in Nebraska but lucky for us we have wonderful family and friends that would make it really hard to leave.
We spent an entire afternoon exploring at Pioneer Park. Even though we have been going there for years the kids always find new and exciting things to play with.
This time they found a clump of bushes that didn't look like much from the outside but it was really neat on the inside! It was almost tall enough for me to stand in and was just a wide open cave like area that was made by these bushes. The kids played and played in it. Other people had obviously found it too and the kids discovered all kinds of "treasures".
This is Caleb popping out the top of it. Needless to say the poor kid had a terrible time with is allergies later that day. It was fun to be able to let them get some energy out, outside of the house.
