It was kind of humorous because one of the moms had asked me about a month ago if the boys were going to Winter Formal. Having not had kids in the high school before I was a little out of the loop and didn't realize it was coming up so soon. I had asked the boys at that point and they were unsure about if they were going or not. I didn't press the issue because they would have dress up clothes from confirmation so it wouldn't be a big deal, so 2 weeks before Winter Formal I asked them again and they still were a little undecided. They thought that they would go as a guy friend group and neither one of them planned to ask a date to the dance. Then on the Monday before the dance both of the boys informed me that they were in fact planning to go for sure and would need suits. What!? They insisted that it was Formal and needed suits. After some debate I decided I was excited enough that they were going to the dance that I took them suit shopping. We rolled into Men's Warehouse and hour before close on Wednesday night and the guy knew we needed as much help as we could get! He took measurements and got each of the boys set up in a dressing room with a suit to try on. He gave Bryce a dark maroon one and I was skeptical. However, when Bryce walked out of the fitting room, he looked just like Grandpa Steve in his senior pictures. Bryce was grinning ear to ear and he loved the suit. So that was the one we got. The nice thing was that Bryce is a size XXS in men's which isn't a highly sought-after size so his suit was super cheap. The guy put Caleb in a blue suit which I thought was a great choice. I have always thought that Caleb looked really good in blue. They both looked very handsome!
The boys went with a fun group of friends and the Hansmeyer's very graciously hosted them for supper. We met there to all take pictures beforehand.

They had a great time at the dance even though we got very few details if they actually danced or not. Thomas did send us a video of Bryce dancing and Bryce swears he got pushed into it and he didn't even know the girl.
