I must have had a momentary lapse in judgement because I agreed to letting the girls host a gingerbread decorating contest at our house. Emmy is quite the party planner! She had invites and even arranged a gift exchange.

They had a dance party and then started on their gingerbread houses.
With some input from the boys who had just done a gingerbread decorating contest, we decided we needed a form to glue the graham crackers onto. I found these house shaped boxes at Hobby Lobby and used them as our house form. The girls all worked on 2 houses. They decided one of the houses was the party house and the other one was the house that they would live in. After seeing the party house, we decided that these girls can't ever live in a sorority.
Here is the party house. There were sprinkles all over the place and frosting everywhere but we had planned for that with disposable tablecloths and frosting bags.
Here you can see the house they could live in towards the back. They had a great time and Emmy was thrilled that we were able to host this! I'm a little worried that this might be something that they want to do every year.
