This year the holiday season was a little tricky for a couple of reasons. This is my year to work Christmas, which breaks my heart but there is nothing that I can do about it. Second, Christmas fell on a Monday which made planning things tough. Steph also had to work the holiday so we decided to combine our Christmas with mom and dad and we had it at our house on the Friday before Christmas. Steph and her family came down in the middle of the day to help me cook and then everyone else started to show up after they got off work.
Weston was pretty excited about all the gifts under the tree. It was hard to wait to open presents. Robb made a couple different kinds of pork loin on the grill and we had a ton of delicious sides. We ate until everyone was about ready to burst and then we let the kids open gifts.
It's a good thing Weston was the youngest and got to go first because all the gifts under the tree were killing him!
Abby was super excited to get lots of fun crafting supplies.
Draven has had his eye on a new computer that will support his DJ software for a while now so he mostly got money which he was happy with.
Caleb and Bryce didn't get coal from Grandpa Steve this year but Caleb made sure to save his coal from last year so that he could regift it to Grandpa this year. It was pretty funny.
One of Bryce's gifts was a treat shooter for Lucy. He had left it on the ground for a while and when he came back Lucy had eaten the gun into pieces to get the treats. I guess she just couldn't be patient.
Emmy got a Moana blanket and a couple cute stuffed animals and play dough. She was thrilled!
Grandpa Steve and Steph trying out Emmy and Weston's blankets.
These two are so funny together. They just disappear to play with each other for the entire night. You just hear them giggling and running around from the other room.
Grandpa Steve and Grandma Cindy with all the grandkids.
Grandma Jody with all the Grandkids
Dad, Cindy and the big kids
Not the best picture of us but we are all in the same photo so we will count it as a win. Even Lucy is in the picture.
Steph, Lester, Korbin and Draven
Mitch, Courtney and Weston
These two hated to say good bye and goodnight to each other.
We had a great night with good food and good company. Thanks everyone for making the drive into Lincoln to celebrate with us!
