Grinch Christmas

This is such a fun and odd tradition that I guess it really makes we think that memories are made by time spent as a family, doing something that you love. I started Grinch Christmas when all the kids were little because we were home all the time and it was too much of a hassle to go out to eat. Plus they loved the Grinch movie so why not. Now, fast forward 8 years and they still ask about it every year. This year they added in that they wanted to wear ugly Christmas sweaters because they were too old to wear Christmas pjs. They helped with the preparations as usual. We had roast beast (ham), Whoo hash, green veggies, green punch, sparkling cider and of course green pudding dessert.
We ate by candle light and after the meal we watched The Grinch. This year I noticed the boys double screening it (watching the movie and playing on their IPads), when I called them out on this they said that they had watched this movie too many times and they want to watch a different Christmas movie next year. I have a feeling that this tradition will be around for many years to come we may just have to keep modifying it as they get older.
