It is hard to believe that Bryce and Caleb are 12 this year. I can't be that old! Thinking back on when they were born, Robb and I were so young and so clueless. I'm surprised they let us take you home. I guess we managed ok because you made it to 12 after all. 12 has been an interesting age so far. It is the odd in between of being a little kid and a teenager. You both have moments of needing your mom or your dad and then seconds later thinking we are the dumbest people on earth. It has been the age where you are willing to fight about things long after you know you are wrong and seem to think that talking us into everything will work. We have had to set more boundaries, set more limits, shut you down on the endless fighting it out moments and at the same time remember to cherish the moments where you will lay on the couch and watch a movie with me or take a walk with me because you want to. While these growing up years might be a challenge we will figure it out together. It is fun to see the person you are becoming and anyone that thinks twins are alike needs to meet you guys. You are different as night and day at times but you seem to have a great brother bond that shines through in the moments that you aren't fighting.
This year for your friend party you just had a handful of friends over to the lakehouse for the evening to grill out and play at the lake. You both requested Oreo dessert instead of cake again this year. The funny thing is I got 2 requests for my Oreo dessert recipe after your party. The funny thing is that I don't really have a much of a recipe for it. I guess it was a hit.
Grady, Barett, Gavin, Caleb, Bryce, Colton, Gus is on the deck.
Hot tub time. How many boys can you fit in the hot tub?
Happy Birthday Bryce and Caleb!
