Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! It was nice to bring an end to 2020. While we all learned new things in 2020 such as how to homeschool our kids, wear a mask all day and social distance, I think everyone would agree that this year has been beyond trying! Robb started working from home in March and is still working from home. The kids wear masks all day long at school and every function, sport or playdate we worry about getting them sick or one of us being sick and not knowing it and spreading it. Being a nurse, this year has been terrible! All my patients fall into a high-risk category, so on a daily basis I worry that I will bring Covid19 to one of them and they could die from it. We don't have enough PPE and re-wear the mask that is supposed to protect us for weeks on end. We are asked to see positive patients and then go see healthy patients. We are asked to see positive patients and possibly bring this home to our family. Overall, 2020 has been Hard and unlike anything we have ever experienced in our lifetime. We have been asked to distance from our parents, grandparents and friends to keep everyone safe but in turn making everyone feel very isolated and lonely. So, bring on 2021 which will hopefully be so much better!
Robb, Emmy and I played games and watched a movie. Abby spent the night with Addison at a New Year's Party. We missed her but I'm sure she had fun!

Bryce and Caleb had some friends over for the evening to ring in the New Year. They played basketball in Bryce's room and Xbox. We really only saw them when they came up for more snacks. I think they had a good time though.

Emmy really wanted to make it to midnight. So close but not quite. This is her at 11:30.
