Emmy, you may just grow up to be a party planner one day! You have been planning your party for 3 months. It was quite the dilemma though because you really wanted a sleepover party on your birthday, but we couldn't host a sleepover with fifteen 3rd graders. You had decided on 3 that you really wanted to have stay the night, but you also wanted a big party with more of your friends at some point. If you are thinking that your parents are big pushovers at this point, you would be correct. We agreed to let you have Wynne, Olivia and Kenzley spend the night on the Friday of your birthday. You had made me a list of groceries, decided on the menu, got Abby's assistance to order pajamas for everyone and had planned activities and decorations. All dad and I had to do was hand over the money for these plans. They were great and everyone had a lot of fun. One slight misstep on our part as the parents was that we didn't realize that the pajamas that you had ordered with Abby's help were actually crop tops. We then had to explain when parents came that we didn't really intend to buy their 8-year-old a crop top. Sorry about that!
