Abby, Maddie, Claire and Addison all turned 13 within 2 weeks of each other and these girls have been friends for so long! They call themselves the Fab 4. We knew that we wanted to do a combined party for them this year, but we had some logistics to work out to keep it a secret. We told them that we were going to have them get their hair and nails done and we had let them each purchase an outfit and we were going to do a photoshoot for their party. At 13 a photo shoot with your friends is pretty great so they really didn't question anything. Abby is also pretty easy to fool, and she thought that I was making massive amounts of gluten free food for a co-worker's baby shower. By this point we had let Emmy in on the secret and even she was in disbelief that I could just be doing all the prep work out in the open with no questions asked.
First stop nail salon
After hair we headed to the Haymarket to have some fun photo backgrounds. We stopped at Ivanna Cone but that may have been a mistake, because I think 2 of the 4 got ice-cream on their new outfits.
Abby was totally game for taking pictures and was in a great mood. This could not be said for a couple of the girls. Let me tell you hormones and bad moods run high with this age group.

After the photo shoot they headed to Maddie's house where her dad was grilling supper for them and then, they didn't know it, but they had a party to attend that evening.
