We set some ground rules about what time we could go downstairs to see if Santa came. We told the kids we weren't going downstairs until 7am. The boys were up at about 6 and waited until close to 7 to come get us out of bed. We had Abby and Emerson get out of bed so we could all go downstairs together.
The kids were super excited to dump their stockings and see what Santa had brought them.
The boys got Chiefs jerseys and Lego sets.
Abby got a Frozen karaoke machine.
Emerson got a little grill set.
We must have all been on the nice list.
We had planned to just hang out as a family for the day but by 9:00 I was missing seeing our extended family and I proposed the idea of going to Tekamah to Robb's grandma's house to see her for her big Christmas celebration. The kids all thought it was a great idea in 30min we were on the road to Tekamah to see Robb's parents and Grandma Virginia. We didn't call to tell her we were coming so it ended up being a fun surprise.
