Christmas with the Lutz's

We went back to Norfolk for Christmas with the Lutz's and Beckman's on Friday. We got there in the afternoon and the kids were antsy to open gifts until Brook and AJ came and then they were happy just playing for a little while at least.

I love that Susie makes the girls dresses every year. This is Emerson's first of many super cute Christmas dresses.

This is the best picture I could get of this super excited group.

Grandpa and Emerson. Do you like her shoes/socks. Grandpa's floors are too slippery for tights.

We opened gifts later in the afternoon. Abby, Bryce and Caleb got new bikes. They were so excited! Abby was especially excited. She has never had a new bike and was getting tired of her garage sale bikes always having problems.

Caleb is off on his BMX bike.

There goes Bryce on his BMX bike.

Andy bought Abby a complete Christmas outfit for her American Girl Doll while he was at the Mall of America with 2 other guy friends. That is the funniest thing! I'm still trying to picture 3 eighteen year old boys shopping in the American Girl store. She loved it!

We bought Susie a mini orange tree and a mini pomegranate tree. We were excited to give them to her and excited to not be responsible for them anymore since we tend to have a green thumb.

Emmy looking at her baby and stroller that she got from Grandma and Grandpa.

We had a blast opening gifts and then took some time out to help the kids open up all their stuff and play with it. That evening we had a delicious supper. We had crab legs which were interesting to eat but really fun watching everyone rip into their meal with pliers. It made for interesting conversation. I think Grandma Hansen decided that animals with pokey spines were not meant to be eaten.
